Description

Cascade Process Controls is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Manager who excels in all aspects of the trade. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who earns the respect of peers through professionalism, technical expertise, accountability, and strong communication.


This individual will play a key role in overseeing construction activities while promoting a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and operational excellence. In addition to field leadership, the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to learn the business side of operations and grow into an active member of the management team.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety courses are up to date.
  • Maintain daily and clear communication with the supervisor and field personnel on work tasks and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all aspects of the daily task are discussed and arranged. This includes but not limited to, personnel, tools, materials, and equipment. 
  • Work safely on all assigned work tasks and follow instructions from the Supervisor.
  • Work with supervisor to develop job costing and scope of work development.
  • Learn procedures required to complete work assignments.
  • Ensure timesheets, packing slips and work tickets are accurate and are submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate materials with office and field personnel. Including returns.
  • Project Change order tracking. 
  • Control project budget and financials.
  • Establish detailed timelines, milestones, and work schedules to keep the project on track.
  • Address delays, emergencies, and unexpected issues immediately to mitigate impact.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to delegate work to proper individuals based on skill set, as well as assign helpers based on the level of difficulties for the task on a daily basis. 
  • Ability to communicate and educate personnel on company issues and decisions.
  • Ability to work closely with operations manager and shop foreman to ensure smooth shop to field communication. 
  • Ability to learn new equipment in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to adapt to last minute changes.
  • Ability to make recommendations to customers.
  • Ability to go anywhere & do anything with no on-site supervision.
  • Ability to schedule and coordinate manpower.
  • Personable with customers & staff.
  • Assist with final project invoicing.

Continuing Education Skills:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
  • H2S Clear / Awareness training (current)
  • First Aid / CPR / AED certification
  • Confined Space Entry and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) training
  • Hot Work permit training
  • PEC SafeLand / SafeGulf or equivalent operator qualification
  • Working knowledge of current/voltage loops, HART communication, and loop calibration
  • Project management fundamentals (scheduling, cost control)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
  • DOT operator qualification training (where applicable)

Performance Measures:

  • Safety performance — TRIR and incident-free days on assigned projects
  • On-time project completion versus baseline schedule
  • Project budget variance (actual versus estimated cost)
  • Quality of work — rework percentage and open punch-list items at turnover
  • Timely, accurate submission of timesheets, packing slips, daily reports, and change orders
  • Customer satisfaction scores and repeat business from assigned accounts
  • Crew productivity and utilization rate
  • Compliance with company policies, training requirements, and safety procedures
  • Stewardship of Cascade property — trucks, tools, instrumentation, and facilities kept in good working order
  • Professional development — certifications earned and training hours completed
  • Team leadership — mentorship, training delivered, and subordinate retention
Requirements

  

· High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school or associate’s degree preferred

· Minimum 5 years of construction experience in I&E or process controls, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role

· Resides in or willing to relocate to the Midland/Odessa, TX area

· Valid Texas driver’s license, clean MVR, and insurable under company policy

· Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening

· TWIC card or ability to obtain one

· Working knowledge of process control instrumentation, current and voltage loops, and basic electrical systems

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar preferred

· Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and construction blueprints

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in variable conditions, climb ladders, and work at heights

· Authorized to work in the United States
