Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and reliable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Front Desk Agent. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a hotel setting. Proficiency with the Property Engagement Platform (PEP) will be a plus.

The Hilton Austin Airport is a recently renovated, full-service hotel located in the historic Air Force command building on airport property. Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet and check guests in and out efficiently using the PEP property management system.
  • Manage and process guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately within the PEP system.
  • Handle all financial transactions, including processing payments, verifying credit cards, and ensuring accurate end-of-shift cash/credit balancing.
  • Answer phone calls, route them appropriately, and provide information about the hotel, services, and local attractions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for guests, promptly and professionally addressing all inquiries, requests, and complaints to ensure a positive stay.
  • Maintain an organized and clean front desk and lobby area.
  • Collaborate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Record pertinent guest information, issues, and shift activities in the logbook for review by management.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, brand standards, and security procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of front desk or hospitality-related customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Smile and engage with guests consistently.

  

What You'll Receive:

  • This position will pay $18.00 per hour to start, with scheduled annual increases.
