Your Role & Impact
As a Financial Analyst, you’ll be a vital member of the care team who is responsible for analyzing information from Esperanza's accounting records, electronic health records, and other sources, and providing reports and recommendations to management. by:
Budgeting, Financial Data & Reporting workflow
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budget, financial statements, forecasts and revenue sources), taking into account company's goals and financial standing.
- Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
- Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison to budget and forecasts
- Identify trends and recommend actions to senior management based on sound analysis
- Analyze costs for each provider, including revenue per visit, annual visits, cost per slot, breakeven slots and cost of unbilled slots. Publish monthly provider productivity reports and other related reports.
- Prepare grant budgets, invoices, and reports.
- Monitor existing grants by comparing budget vs. actual expenditures, identifying potential grant underspending, and recommending solutions.
- 340B and PACE knowledge is a plus
Collaborative Support & Communication
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the job function
Administrative Duties
- Assist the Finance Manager in preparing annual budgets.
- Assist in audits.
- Gain and update job knowledge to remain current in the field

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Proficiency in downloading and manipulating large data sets
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Able to anticipate problems and implement mitigation strategies
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be open to feedback and mentoring
- Self -motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Must be detailed conscious and organized
- Must possess excellent time management skills
- Efficient, driven and willing to go the extra mile
- Flexible and independent
- 1 to 2 years of related experience, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Access, PowerPoint , Oracle/NetSuite, and Athena Health is a plus.
