Practice Manager (Dermatology Practice)

Plymouth Dermatology Associates is seeking a hands-on Practice Manager to lead day-to-day clinical and operational activities within the practice. This role is responsible for supporting providers, leading staff, strengthening workflows, improving accountability, and helping the practice grow while maintaining a high standard of patient care. The right candidate will be both people-focused and systems-focused — someone who can lead a team, improve operations, and create consistency across the practice.




Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations, including patient flow, room utilization, and team support 
  • Oversee our Medical Dermatology, MOHS and Aesthetic Center 
  • Ensure exam rooms, equipment, systems, and clinical spaces are functioning 
  • Develop, maintain and reinforce standard operating procedures and clinical workflows 
  • Support scheduling, referrals, and insurance-related processes Identify workflow gaps and implement improvements


Staff Leadership & Development 

  • Hire and support clinical staff through onboarding, training and day-to-day workflows 
  • Set expectations and hold staff accountable to performance, behavior, and workflow standards 
  • Conduct evaluations and ongoing development conversations 
  • Build and maintain schedules to support patient volume and provider needs


Quality, Compliance & Patient Experience

  • Partner with leadership on operational planning, performance tracking, and growth initiatives 
  • Monitor key performance indicators tied to clinical efficiency and patient experience 
  • Support revenue cycle, referral tracking, and related administrative processes 
  • Implement new services and technology as the practice evolves
  • Develop and maintain provider outreach initiatives and referral relationships to ensure continued prominence within the South Shore and Cape Cod networks
Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare administration, health sciences or related field
  • 3-5+ years of clinical management experience in an outpatient or specialty practice preferred 
  • Experience supervising staff performance and supporting clinic operations 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Familiarity with EMR and practice management systems 
  • Understanding of medical compliance, documentation standards, and clinical workflow 
  • Dermatology or other specialty practice experience strongly preferred 
  • Comfortable leading in a structured, growth-oriented, SOP-driven environment


Schedule

  • Full-time Monday-Friday in person  (Plymouth, MA) 
  • Daytime hours aligned with practice operations 
  • Salaried, exempt position May require operational communication beyond office hours

  • Competitive salary based on experience $75,000-$100,000
