School Janitor (Part-Time)

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Parish is seeking a part-time dedicated and reliable Part-Time School Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and families starting in August 2026. This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations and cleanliness of our Catholic STEM school campus.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties throughout school facilities
• Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas
• Empty trash and replenish restroom and cleaning supplies
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and occasional spot cleaning
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors
• Assist with occasional setup or cleanup for school events as needed
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor
• Follow all safety and cleaning procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in custodial work or a similar role preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail 
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety procedures
• Supportive of the mission and values of Catholic education

Schedule:

Part-time position with flexible hours based on school needs from 15-25 hours per week.

Benefits: 

Employees accrue 1 hour of paid leave per 30 hours worked, capped at 48 hours per year per CO HFWA guidelines.
