Requirements

  

  • 4+ years of payroll experience.
  • Experience partnering with accounting professionals to support payroll operations, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance functions.
  • College degree in Business or Human Resources preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.


In this role, you will

  

  • Process bi-weekly payroll with a high level of accuracy and ensure timely employee compensation in compliance with established payroll schedules. 
  • Partners with accounting professionals to support payroll processing, financial recordkeeping, and payroll-related accounting functions in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Collaborate with accountants and management to prepare payroll reports, support audits, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Administer employee payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, promotions, compensation changes, and organizational updates. 
  • Review, validate, and audit payroll data such as timekeeping records, earnings calculations, bonuses, deductions, and manual payments to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
  • Maintain and update confidential employee payroll records, including direct deposit information, tax withholdings, and demographic changes. 
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies while providing exceptional support and timely resolution to employee payroll inquiries. 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Partner collaboratively with Human Resources, Finance, and management teams to support accurate payroll administration and reporting. 
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
