UNITED SWEEPING IS HIRING A DIESEL & HYDRAULIC FLEET MECHANIC


PAY : UP TO $35/HR


Job Overview:



  •  Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems and diesel-powered equipment, including but not limited to
    trucks, loaders, and street sweepers.
  •  Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  •  Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components.
  •  Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess system performance and determine necessary repairs.
  •  Replace or repair parts as needed, including pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and hoses.
  •  Perform oil changes, brake inspections, and other routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines.
  •  Ensure all repairs meet industry standards and safety regulations.
  •  Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and maintenance schedules.
  •  Communicate effectively with the team, reporting progress and potential issues.
  •  Follow all safety protocols and work in a clean, organized manner.



Requirements
  • CDL is a must
  • Experience: Minimum [3] years of experience as a diesel mechanic or hydraulic technician (preferred).
  • Certifications: ASE certification or equivalent in diesel mechanics (preferred).
  • Proficiency in hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and computer-based software.
  • Physical ability to work with heavy equipment and tools, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
