Description
The Human Resources/Recruitment & Employee Engagement Specialist serves as a strong support partner to the Human Resources department regarding a wide variety of HR functions including full-cycle talent acquisition, employee engagement, and other aspects of HR.
Talent Acquisition:
- Works with hiring managers in various departments to define recruitment needs and plan the hiring process.
- Full life-cycle recruiting including posting ads, screening, interviewing candidates.
- Source candidates on job boards, resume databases, professional networks and through referrals.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and other external partners to develop talent pipelines and identify qualified candidates
- Organize hiring events and participate in job fairs to network with potential candidates.
- Checking references and conducting background checks, preparing and making offers.
- Onboard new hires and further develop the onboarding process.
- Maintains and updates job descriptions through regular reviews with managers and employees
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Lead the Employee Wellness and Engagement Committee and coordinate employee engagement initiatives.
- Creates and publishes the Employee Newsletter.
- Assist with coordinating the performance evaluation process.
- Offboard exiting employees by conducting exit interviews.
- Assist with implementing HR policies and maintaining the employee handbook.
- Assist with the development and delivery of employee training programs that support professional growth, skill development, and effective use of workplace technologies.
- Listen and help employees with concerns, referring complex matters to the Human Resources Manager.
- Keep up to date on HR practices and legal requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of human resources experience, including full-cycle recruitment.
- Proficiency with HRIS and ATS platforms; Paylocity experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and follow through accurately.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in the HR field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Passion for working in a dynamic, hands-on manufacturing environment.
This is an in-house, on-site position where you’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships and make a direct impact with employees each day. This role is not remote or hybrid, and flexibility is required to support employee-related events and activities as needed.
