ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist Director of Nursing in preparing departmental reports for compliance monitoring and productivity tracking
- Prepare appropriate training documents for new hires and assist HR in ensuring new staff are assigned the appropriate resources during their orientation day
- Ensure employees and contract staff receive appropriate orientation documents, assignments and continuing education.
- Provide scheduling completion for Director of Nursing
- Provide scheduling completion for clinical staff as indicated
- Serve as back up in assisting with Addendum Form Completion
- Serve as back up in assisting with COVID Reporting
- Serve as back up to Care Coordinator and/or Access Specialist as indicated
- Initiate clinical education in services and ensure staff required information to attend these events
- Initiate departmental notices regarding updated protocols, physician vacations or other pertinent information as delegated by the Director of Nursing
- Prepare clinical and/or progress notes on any patient related activities.
- Collaborates with Director of Nursing to ensure appropriate communication and cooperation between clinical areas
- Participates in in services, IDT meetings and other programs and meetings as needed.
- Acts as physician agent in calling in prescriptions as directed by agency protocol
- Compliant with governing Federal, State, and accredited regulations and standards and education of staff to these guidelines.
- Serve as back up to the Care Coordinator and/or Access Specialist as needed
- Maintaining storage of departmental logs required for compliance measures
- Delivers direct care to patients as needed

· LVN license in state of Texas
· 2 years of clinical experience, Home Health or Hospice preferred
· Active communication skills
· Excellent clinical and documentation skills
· Able to function independently to provide highest quality of nursing practice
