PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.
The Position:
Job Summary
Employees in this position will actively contribute to the implementation and improvement of the environmental policies by utilizing ones skills, experience, and competencies developed in the company. A technician will also assist the Environmental Health & Safety Manager as a point person for daily tasks and mentoring co-workers.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5:00am to 1:30pm
Primary Responsibilities
- Work cooperatively with all employees.

- Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.
Environmental Technician I Responsibilities
- Operate onsite wastewater treatment system independently and have a high level of understanding of the various treatment methods, parameters and maintenance.
- Daily checks on air scrubber systems and demonstrate a high level of understanding of its operations and processes.
- Take inventory of chemical stock and supplies for departments in scope.
- Emptying hazardous waste bins throughout facility and refilling production employee’s stock of requested supplies.
- Coordinate and assist Environmental Health & Safety Manager with prepping and loading for hazardous waste shipments.
- Consistent and proficient usage of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Frequently move 55-gallon barrels to and from wastewater treatment system, hazardous waste shipments, for maintenance of wastewater treatment and boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Perform the following chemistry lab functions:
o Proficient usage of microscopes, UV-VIS, and AAS.
o Performance of basic chemical titrations.
o Performance of chemical additions and make up new solutions per instructions.
o Perform basic functions of a pH meter.
o Gain good understanding of all process solutions and their functions.
o Comfortable using internal laboratory management system.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Environmental Health & Safety Manager.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Prefer college degree in science, technology or engineering or other related field with completion of at least five quarters of college level chemistry with 1-2 quarters of life sciences and/or 1-2 years of applicable work experience.
Work Environment
- Noise: Environmental Technicians can be exposed to high levels of noise depending on the task required.
- Safety hazards: Environmental Technicians can be exposed to heat, chemical and physical hazards.
- Contaminants: The work involves handling and working with and around corrosive and flammable chemical products that can cause unwanted health effects if not handled properly.
- Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety. This includes safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, full Tyvek suits and gloves.
- Shift work: Must be flexible to work on emergent projects as they come up. Projects, system requirements, system maintenance and response are typically unscheduled events that require attendance outside of scheduled hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing/Sitting: Environmental Technicians spend long hours in a chair or on their feet depending on the work type needed for the day.
- Lifting: The job can require lifting and moving chemical containers or parts and motors. The ability to move up to 50 lbs is required.
- Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools, setting up machines, and performing precise measurements related to operating the onsite wastewater treatment system, conducting tests in onsite chemical laboratory and on the onsite Air Scrubber system.
- Repetitive motion: Many tasks, such as moving 55 gallon barrels and calibrating probes are repetitive and can potentially lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.
- Stamina: Physical stamina is required for the duration of a shift to perform all duties of the job.
