Position Summary
The Community Living Workforce Coordinator is responsible for maintaining stable, compliant, and efficient staffing across all Community Living residential homes. This role oversees division-wide scheduling, proactively identifies staffing gaps, manages coverage, reduces overtime, and supports continuity of care in a 24/7 residential environment.
This position partners closely with Program Managers and Community Living leadership to forecast staffing needs, solve coverage challenges, and maintain accurate workforce data. This is a proactive workforce planning role focused on staffing stability, operational efficiency, and quality support for individuals served.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of workforce coordination, scheduling, or administrative experience required
- Healthcare, behavioral health, or residential services experience preferred
- Experience supporting 24/7 staffing models strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of scheduling principles and staffing ratios
- Proficiency with Excel, scheduling systems, and workforce databases
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional communication and strong follow-through
- Dependability, accountability, and ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Workforce Coordination
- Develop and maintain division-wide staffing schedules
- Ensure staffing coverage meets organizational and regulatory requirements
- Proactively identify open shifts and develop coverage plans
- Coordinate PRN staffing and alternative coverage solutions
- Approve and track schedule changes within established protocols
- Monitor and reduce avoidable overtime through proactive planning
Staffing Audits & Workforce Management
- Conduct weekly staffing audits and verify schedule accuracy
- Monitor attendance, call-offs, and no-shows
- Identify utilization concerns and staffing discrepancies
- Partner with Program Managers and HR on staffing changes and workforce needs
- Ensure staff are scheduled only when training and certification requirements are met
Reporting & Data Tracking
- Maintain daily staffing dashboard including:
- Open shifts
- Coverage risks
- Overtime usage
- PRN utilization
- Attendance trends
- Provide regular staffing updates to leadership
- Produce weekly staffing and recruitment reports for HR and operations
- Maintain accurate workforce documentation and scheduling records
Collaboration & Operational Support
- Partner with Program Managers, Shift Supervisors, and Community Living leadership
- Support onboarding by assigning new hires to homes and scheduling systems
- Train staff on scheduling platform expectations and accountability
- Support urgent staffing needs and provide real-time solutions

Starting Pay: Our compensation is competitive within the market. The starting rate for this position begins at $23.00 per hour, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications
