Location: Atlanta, GA


Position Summary


The Machine Operator is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations through the safe and efficient operation of production equipment. This role ensures consistent product quality by monitoring machine performance, inspecting finished products, and adhering to established safety and quality standards.

The Machine Operator will load materials, operate machinery, perform basic machine adjustments, and assist with production activities to support operational goals. Training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude who are eager to learn, develop new skills, and grow within a manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining established productivity and quality standards.

• Load and unload raw materials and finished products while monitoring machine output for accuracy and quality.

• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality control procedures.

• Perform basic machine adjustments and notify maintenance personnel of equipment issues when necessary.

• Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and production transitions under supervisor guidance.

• Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet company specifications.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations and production equipment.

• Complete production logs, quality checks, and required documentation accurately and timely.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational standards.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production concerns, equipment issues, and safety matters.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team environment.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch and company objectives.


Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• One (1) or more years of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or related experience preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment and processes.

• Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

• Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as business needs require.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.

• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.

• Basic troubleshooting and machine adjustment experience.

• Familiarity with production documentation, quality inspections, and workplace safety practices.

• Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
