750 - Warehouse Associate
Location: Atlanta, GA
Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting efficient operation of the warehouse through the safe handling, storage, and movement of materials. This role ensures the accurate receipt, organization, and shipment of products while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting shipments, managing inventory, picking and packing orders, and loading and unloading products.
The Warehouse Associate routinely operates forklifts and other material handling equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity.
This position may also involve limited customer interaction, including assisting with inquiries, handling returns, and coordinating with internal teams to support a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, move, and store materials using proper handling procedures.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Organize inventory and maintain accurate stock records.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory control activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Support daily warehouse operations and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Assist with customer inquiries, product returns, and basic service needs as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch and company objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) or more years of warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or related operational experience preferred
- Previous forklift experience preferred; certification or willingness to obtain certification required
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Experience with inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), or related software.
- Experience within the building materials, manufacturing, distribution, or construction supply industries
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and warehouse best practices.
