Description
- Inspect raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor production operations to maintain compliance with company, GMP, HACCP, USDA, and FDA regulations
- Perform routine quality checks, measurements, and product testing
- Identify defects, contamination risks, or non-conformance issues and report findings to management
- Document inspection results, quality reports, and corrective actions
- Verify proper labeling, packaging, and product specifications
- Ensure sanitation and food safety procedures are being followed throughout the facility
- Conduct pre-operational and operational inspections of equipment and production areas
- Assist with internal audits and regulatory inspections
- Monitor temperatures, weights, and product quality standards
- Work closely with production, sanitation, and warehouse teams to resolve quality concerns
- Enforce company policies and food safety procedures
- Investigate customer complaints and assist with corrective action plans
- Maintain calibration records for quality testing equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and safety
Requirements
- Previous quality control or food manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, USDA, FDA, and OSHA standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Ability to work in cold, wet, or fast-paced environments
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds if needed
