Description
In this role, you will:
- Lead all fabrication production operations, including structural steel fabrication, weld assembly, fit-up, material flow, and production scheduling execution
- Establish department production priorities aligned with customer delivery commitments and operational objectives
- Monitor and drive KPI performance, including throughput, first-pass yield, weld repair rates, labor utilization, and schedule attainment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, welding safety requirements, confined space procedures, hot work standards, crane operations, and PPE requirements
- Directly manage Fabrication Production Supervisors and department support personnel
- Maintain compliance with AWS, ASME, customer specifications, and internal fabrication procedures
- Develop labor planning strategies, staffing models, overtime utilization plans, and production capacity forecasts
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, standardization, waste reduction, and operational efficiency
- Coordinate cross-functional support activities with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production Planning teams
- Establish and maintain welding standards, WPS requirements, and fabrication quality systems
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to safety incidents, weld defects, and process deviations
- Support workforce development through training, leadership development, and welder qualification progression programs
- Develop and manage departmental labor plans, operational budgets, and capital improvement initiatives
- Support evaluation and implementation of new fabrication equipment, tooling, automation, and welding technologies
- Represent ENTEK during customer visits, supplier meetings, audits, and operational reviews
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressive manufacturing or fabrication leadership experience
- Experience with structural steel fabrication, welding codes, and industrial manufacturing environments
- Experience supervising production personnel in heavy manufacturing environments
- Experience leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding operations, and production workflow systems
- Knowledge of AWS welding standards, weld procedures, and fabrication quality systems
- Strong leadership, coaching, workforce development, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Welding Technology, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of supervisory or management experience within fabrication or welding operations
- Experience implementing welding process improvements, automation projects, or operational optimization initiatives
- Experience with production planning systems, labor forecasting, and manufacturing reporting tools
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
Your Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be required to support production schedules, operational priorities, and customer commitments.

Salary Description
$95,000 - $130,000 per year
