Description

General Summary: 

Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records by performing the following duties


This will be a hybrid role - working in office Monday and Tuesday morning and remote the remainder of the week. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing
  • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
  • Responsible for properly calculating time cards on employees working varied times and/or shifts.
  • Reviews/reconciles payroll batches to assure correct paychecks. 
  • Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
  • Increase efficiency in payroll process
  • Overall knowledge of how to payroll process steps work
  • Self-starting / Self-directing in payroll duties
  • Intermediate software understanding of payroll provider
  • Pull requested reports: Paystubs/W2, Direct deposit entry, W4 entry, ROEs
  • Entry level processing of HR reports: New hires, Status changes, Terminated employees
  • Ability to answer questions in regards to exceptions or rounding of payroll records vs. billing/account receivable records
  • Interacts with field division personnel with calculations and/or timesheet concerns
  • Utilizing Excel for internal metrics/reporting
  • Fielding questions from employees
  • Verification of Employment
  • Basic knowledge and navigation ability in Hulcher Customer Service software/database
  • Filing of payroll reports/timesheets
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Understanding of payroll hard deadlines

Requirements

Educational and/or Experience Requirements: High school education, or the equivalent; Payroll experience 1 to 2 years


Knowledge of operating systems: 

  • Dynamics SL
  • Paylocity
  • TimeClock Plus  

Must be able to demonstrate:

  • Intermediate level knowledge and administrative ability to complete job tasks and access / update computer applications.
  • Analytical skills to fully understand business requirements
  • Proficient skills and experience in verbal and written forms of communication; active listening skills, ability to interpret information and document accurately
  • Ability to build solid relationships with all stakeholders in order to support workflow analysis and development
  • Adept completion of tasks with little or no error and minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle stressful, challenging situations.

Physical Demands:  

The employee must be able to work in a standard office environment. Employee must be able to operate a computer.

Salary Description
$19.00 - $23.00/Hour
