EVISCERATION LEAD
Description

The Lead team member works in a live food processing plant, performing precise functions related to the evisceration and processing of ducks. This individual plays a crucial leadership role in the department. Operating in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, they are responsible for ensuring the proper processing of ducks. The Lead team member provides directions, trains new employees, and directly supports the Department Supervisor. 

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

satisfactorily. 

o Delegating tasks and setting deadlines for production team by Production Supervisor requests.

o Training team members on all duties of department. 

o Cover team members when they are absent while still overseeing his duties. 

o Oversee day-to-day performances with the Production Supervisor.

o Monitor team performance and report metrics.

o Produce various productivity and usage reports for management review.

o Focus the team on the tasks at hand and/or the internal and external customer requirements.

o Follows all safety policies and procedures; participates with the team to achieve safety goals.

o Monitor and adjust equipment for the best quality possible

o Follow all biosecurity and Animal Welfare Policies

o Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.

o Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately.

o Report any potential Food Safety issues to management immediately.

o Report any damages to company vehicles, equipment, and buildings via maintenance work order software program.

o Comply with all company policies and procedures.

o All other duties as assigned

o 1-2 years of Poultry experience preferred

o Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but bot required  


Physical Job Requirements The physical requirements/environmental factors for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

o Fast-paced production environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and machinery.

o Requires standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs. without assistance; 80 lbs. with assistance), bending, and working in elevated or confined spaces.

o Must be able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.

o Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
