Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Teacher to provide specialized support in achieving teaching objectives through direct work with individual students and small groups. This position plays a vital role in reinforcing classroom instruction, improving student skills, and fostering an organized, productive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Primary Responsibilities
The Associate Teacher will work under the direct supervision of the school principal to:
• Reinforce learning of skills and concepts introduced by the teacher through individualized and small group instruction
• Assist with small group instruction to support diverse learning needs
• Guide students through independent study, enrichment activities, and remedial work as designed and assigned by the teacher
• Support the improvement of student skills and promote increased learning outcomes
• Monitor all arrival, breakfast, lunch, and dismissal procedures
• Assist in supervising classroom morning arrival and afternoon dismissal
• Cover classes and duty areas as assigned
• Help maintain a well-organized, smoothly functioning classroom environment
• Assist in creating a learning atmosphere where students can fully benefit from the instructional program and available resources
• Arrive on time daily, professionally dressed and prepared for instruction
• Enforce all Vision Prep rules and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to students, staff, and school operations
• Follow established procedures and protocols in all aspects of the position

• Attend all mandatory Vision Prep professional development sessions
• Be a team player: share resources and ideas, assist colleagues, and ask for help when needed
• Provide insights and ideas to support continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
One of the following is required:
• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, OR
• Completion of two (2) years of college coursework (minimum of 48 semester hours), OR
• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
Experience:
• One (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred)
Certifications:
• Must possess or be able to obtain CPR certification
• Must possess or be able to obtain First Aid certification
Supervision
This position works under supervision of School Principal and Executive Leader Team according to set procedures and established guidelines.
