Position Overview

Holy Rosary Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, dedicated, and enthusiastic Fifth Grade

Teacher to join our faculty. The teacher will foster a positive Catholic learning environment that

supports the spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development of students. The

ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, effective classroom management,

collaboration with colleagues and families, and a commitment to the mission and values of

Catholic education.


Primary Responsibilities

Reports to Principal


• Teach all assigned fifth grade subjects in accordance with school curriculum standards

and diocesan guidelines.

• Create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and

student growth.

• Maintain a structured, organized, and nurturing classroom environment conducive to

learning.

• Integrate Catholic values, teachings, and traditions into daily instruction and classroom

activities.

• Assess student progress regularly through formal and informal evaluations and

communicate progress effectively with parents and administration.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, lesson plans, and student performance.

• Utilize educational technology effectively to enhance instruction and student

engagement.

• Collaborate with fellow faculty members, support staff, and administration to support

school initiatives and student success.

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, school events,

and extracurricular activities as requested.

• Communicate professionally and consistently with parents regarding student progress,

behavior, and classroom expectations.

• Uphold and model Christian values and professional conduct at all times.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required.

• Valid teaching license/certification preferred.

• Practicing Catholic preferred.

• Commitment to the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.

• Experience teaching upper elementary students preferred.
