The Retail Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating, executing, and measuring the success of the MJ Holding retail business plan with internal partners, external customers, and service providers while optimizing value through efficient and effective business practices. This role will develop and maintain effective, mutually beneficial relationships with the photo audit, retail planning, IT and operations departments to support and contribute to the organization’s vision, values, metrics, strategic goals, and objectives. 


Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Collaborate with merchandising vendors to ensure visit accuracy and service quality.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of field merchandising activity reports and translate the data into weekly reporting and insights.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to identify solutions and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate effective time management while maintaining accurate, up-to-date reporting and deliverables
  • Keep abreast of new company products and services.
  • Provide timely, proactive updates on all projects and initiatives.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying customer complaints, determining root causes, expediting corrective action, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve merchandising execution.
  • Work with all departments and participate in special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

Experience

  • Ability to analyze sales trends, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify insights and operational opportunities.
  • Proven capability in coordinating vendor relationships or working within multi-vendor environments to support technology integration, merchandising, purchasing, or service execution.
  • Demonstrated support of store audits, compliance checks, and operational standards across multiple locations.
  • Exposure to or background in retail distribution or category management preferred.


Travel

  • Work-related travel within Canada will be required on average 20% per week.
