Slot Attendant

Purpose: The Slot Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for guests on the gaming floor, providing exceptional customer service while supporting slot machine operations. This position assists guests with machine use, basic troubleshooting, payouts, and general inquiries to ensure a positive and engaging gaming experience.
The Slot Attendant plays a key role in maintaining a welcoming environment, promoting responsible gaming, and supporting smooth daily operations in compliance with Tribal Gaming Regulations and National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) standards.
Essential Functions. An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
· Guest Service & Engagement
· Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner.
· Provide assistance with slot machine operation, player cards, and general gaming questions.
· Proactively engage guests to enhance their experience and encourage return visits.
· Address guest concerns or complaints and escalate issues as appropriate.
· Slot Floor Support
· Assist guests with minor machine issues (e.g., bill jams, ticket errors, basic resets).
· Process jackpots and hand pays in accordance with internal controls and procedures.
· Monitor slot machines to ensure they are clean, functional, and ready for use.
· Report machine malfunctions or irregularities promptly to Slot Technicians.
· Compliance & Security
· Follow all Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority (TGRA) policies and NIGC regulations.
· Verify guest identification for jackpots and payouts as required.
· Maintain strict adherence to cash handling procedures and internal controls.
· Remain alert to suspicious activity and report concerns immediately.
· Operational Support
· Assist with player rewards programs, promotions, and events on the gaming floor.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the slot floor.
· Support team members during peak hours and special events.
· Participate in shift briefings and ongoing training.

Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· One (1) year of customer service experience preferred.
· OR a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position.
· Ability to obtain and maintain required Tribal gaming licenses and clearances
Preferred Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
· Experience in a casino, hospitality, or high-volume customer service environment.
· Experience handling cash transactions or working with POS systems.
· Knowledge of slot machines or gaming operations.
