About the Role
Under general supervision, the Senior Accountant (Financials) oversees general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. This position is also responsible for maintaining the ERP financial systems, general ledger, and month end close process. The Senior Accountant produces data analysis, financial reporting, and audit schedules. This individual will work with leadership, department heads, and our clinics to assure all necessary resources are available to provide the highest level accurate financial data across multiple entities. In addition, the Senior Accountant will work with the Controller to ensure efficient processes, that reduce risk and promote meaningful, insightful data for the organization.
What You Will Do
Support all activities across accounting and finance operations:
- Produces the financial statements each month
- Reconciles certain balance sheet accounts
- Produces entries for closing of the month
- Performs miscellaneous assessments and provides improvement recommendations
- Assists with tax audits
- Supports month-end and year-end close process
- Finalizes COGS and Inventory reports
- Reviews SG&A and makes appropriate reclass entries
- Ad hoc research and reporting as requested by management
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions
- International (CERF/Global Health) transactions
What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or other related field
- A minimum of 3 years accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and solid knowledge of Cost of Goods Sold, inventory practices and Operating Expense cost containment
- Strong knowledge of Excel and advanced formulas
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial and proprietary information
- Ability to work independently while building effective work relationships, working towards meeting established targets/goals
- Tech-savvy, results-driven and highly analytical, individual is a relationship builder with high EQ and communication skills that allow for effectively at influencing a variety of stakeholders
- Sound judgment, strong work ethic, professionalism, and integrity
- Relevant certifications in field (if any), in good standing
- The ability to roll-up your sleeves to tackle operational work
- Must be detail oriented and able to handle complex instructions with care and follow-through
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in execution of assigned tasks
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast paced, demanding environment
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare best practices (nice to have)
- Passionate about longevity, healthy aging, healthcare and committed to personal self-care, healthy lifestyle, and personal growth
- Experience with ERP systems (Salesforce) and Great Plains strongly preferred
