The Production Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production and warehouse operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. This role leads production and warehouse personnel while coordinating manufacturing schedules, material flow, inventory management, shipping and receiving activities, and equipment performance. The Production Warehouse Manager plays a key role in maintaining an efficient operation and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support customer satisfaction and business objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop production and warehouse team members to support a safe, productive, and engaged workforce.
- Promote and enforce all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and ensure compliance with machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and other safety standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production and warehouse operations to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
- Monitor production schedules, workflow, staffing levels, and operational performance to ensure efficiency and productivity goals are achieved.
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and customer specifications while addressing production, quality, and operational issues as they arise.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and material handling activities.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and established inventory control processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including productivity, downtime, scrap, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and equipment repairs to minimize downtime and support operational reliability.
- Ensure production work orders, inventory records, quality documentation, and operational reports are completed accurately and timely.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical certification, or related education preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Experience managing production operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and workforce scheduling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, warehouse operations, inventory management, and workplace safety practices.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory, production, or warehouse management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
