Custom Agri Systems is a family-owned and operated company specializing in grain handling equipment, agricultural construction, repair, and service. We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Grain Bin Repair Laborers in West Fargo, ND.

No previous grain bin experience? That's okay. We're looking for people with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the desire to build valuable skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist with the repair, maintenance, and construction of grain bins and grain handling systems
  • Assist with replacing damaged or worn bin sheets and structural components
  • Help with roof, door, ladder, stair, and other bin repairs
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of conveyors, augers, fans, and related grain-handling equipment
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install materials
  • Load, unload, and move materials and equipment
  • Work from ladders, lifts, and elevated work areas
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
  • Work alongside experienced team members to complete projects safely and efficiently
  • Follow safety procedures and instructions from supervisors
  • Represent Custom Agri Systems professionally when working at customer locations
  • Take pride in doing the job right the first time

Previous experience in construction, agriculture, grain handling, mechanical work, or industrial maintenance is a plus — but it isn't required. We're willing to train the right person.

WHAT THE JOB IS REALLY LIKE

This isn't a desk job.

You'll spend your days outside, on jobsites, working with tools, equipment, and experienced tradespeople. You'll learn how grain bins are built, repaired, and maintained while developing skills that can lead to opportunities in millwright work, grain handling, construction, and other skilled trades.

The work can be physically demanding, and you'll be working at heights and in changing weather conditions. But if you like staying busy, working with your hands, and seeing the results of your work at the end of the day, this could be a great fit.

Requirements

Qualifications 

Required 

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.  
  • Ability to climb ladders and work comfortably at heights.  
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.  
  • Ability to travel to various job sites throughout North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota.  
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety.  
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.  
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.  

Preferred 

  • Previous experience in construction, agriculture, grain handling, or industrial maintenance.  
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment.  
  • Forklift, skid steer, telehandler, or aerial lift experience.  
  • OSHA safety training or other construction-related certifications.  

Physical Requirements 

  • Frequently stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.  
  • Ability to work at heights on grain bins and related structures.  
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.  
  • Ability to work in dusty environments and around construction equipment.  
  • Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods.  

Work Environment 

  • Outdoor construction and agricultural environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.  
  • Exposure to grain dust, noise, moving machinery, and elevated work areas.  
  • Frequent travel between customer locations and job sites.  
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak seasons and project deadlines.
