The Delivery Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily delivery operations, ensuring drivers perform safely and professionally, coordinating accurate and timely deliveries, and maintaining inventory and documentation integrity. This role plays a key part in customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and service standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Driver Performance Oversight:
Monitor and evaluate driver performance to ensure compliance with safety, service, and company standards. Address issues promptly and escalate as needed.
- Delivery Coordination:
Schedule, coordinate, and track deliveries to ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Inventory Management:
Oversee parts and materials related to deliveries, ensuring inventory accuracy and availability while coordinating with the warehouse team.
- Customer Service Excellence:
Ensure drivers uphold BP Supply’s customer service standards. Resolve delivery-related issues and support positive customer relationships.
- Error-Free Operations:
Ensure deliveries are prepared correctly and without errors, maintaining accuracy in order fulfillment and related records.
- Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, track order completion, note delays or exceptions, and capture customer feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Team Collaboration:
Support warehouse and logistics operations as needed, contributing to overall efficiency and a strong team environment.
- Driver Eligibility:
Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
- Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, delivery coordination, inventory management, or a related role.
- Organizational Skills:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deliveries, schedules, and inventory records.
- Customer Service Focus:
Excellent communication skills with a commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.
- Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds as part of inventory and warehouse support duties.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify, address, and resolve delivery, scheduling, and inventory challenges effectively.
- Dependability & Flexibility:
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to support operational needs as they arise.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role operates in an office, warehouse, and delivery-support environment and may involve standing, walking, lifting, and coordinating with drivers and warehouse staff. PPE may be required in warehouse or yard areas.
Regular work hours are typically from 7 AM to 5 PM, with an on-call schedule for after hours and Saturdays
