About the Role


Beach Front Property Management is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with property management experience who enjoys taking ownership of a portfolio and managing the full accounting cycle from start to finish.


The ideal candidate has experience handling the complete accounting process for multiple multifamily properties, producing accurate financial statements, and partnering with operations to support the financial success of each community.

You'll report directly to the Controller and play a key role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of multifamily properties.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Review and process accounts payable transactions.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support operational and management decisions.
  • Assist with consolidated internal and external financial reporting.
  • Support audits, accounting process improvements, and internal controls.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and respond to financial inquiries.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
  • Collaborate with Property Managers, Operations, and the Accounting team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  •  2+ years of property accounting experience in multifamily or property management.
  • Experience managing the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of properties is required.
  • Yardi Voyager experience required (2+ years preferred).
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable, collaborative, and committed to accuracy.
