As a Teacher Aide, you’ll gain hands-on classroom experience while working toward your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential—all while being supported by a strong team and getting paid.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will support teachers in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom for young children. You’ll:
- Help with daily classroom routines, activities, and transitions
- Support children’s learning through play, exploration, and positive interactions
- Supervise children to ensure their safety at all times
- Use encouraging, respectful communication with children, families, and team members
- Assist with setting up materials and maintaining a clean, organized classroom
- Follow health, safety, and classroom procedures
- Work closely with a Teacher or Assistant Teacher mentor
- Participate in training and coursework to earn your CDA credential

As a Teacher Aide, you will:
- Be enrolled in a structured training program
- Receive support to complete your CDA within approximately 12-16 months
- Gain real classroom experience while you learn
- Work with a Self-Sufficiency Coach to support your professional goals

- Are committed to completing required training and coursework
Required:
- High School diploma or GED
- Willingness to enroll in and complete CDA credential
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
- Background clearances (PA Criminal, Child Abuse, FBI, etc.)
- Physical exam and TB test
- Mandated Reporter training within 90 days of hire
Preferred:
- Experience working with children (school, childcare, volunteer, or personal experience)
- Basic computer skills
