Description

Role Overview

The Senior Vice President, iWeb Platform is the owner of The Bankers Bank’s proprietary correspondent banking platform—iWeb—the operational and technology backbone supporting community banks’ daily movement of funds across multiple payment rails.

This role blends product strategy leadership and engineering execution, with accountability for iWeb’s vision, roadmap, software delivery, quality, stability, and long-term evolution. Reporting to the CTO/CISO, and partnering closely with the COO, licensees, and business development leadership, the SVP serves as the enterprise bridge between technology, operations, compliance, and commercial strategy.

iWeb is not just software—it is mission-critical banking infrastructure. This leader ensures it is reliable, compliant, scalable, and continuously advancing in support of respondent bank success.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Vision & Product Strategy

• Own and articulate the product vision and multi-year roadmap for iWeb, aligning platform evolution with enterprise strategy, respondent bank needs, and regulatory requirements.

• Actively participate in and potentially own key workstreams within board-level discussions, strategic planning, and investment recommendations—collaborating closely with the CITO to clearly communicate trade-offs, risk, and value on behalf of the iWeb platform.

• Identify and champion differentiated capabilities—including API-forward design, AI-enabled automation and analytics, and advanced compliance and fraud tooling—that strengthen iWeb’s competitive position.

Product Ownership & Prioritization

• Act as the single point of accountability for what gets built, why, and in what order, maintaining a transparent, outcome-driven product backlog.

• Synthesize requirements across Operations, Compliance, Information Security, licensees, respondent banks, and executive leadership into clear priorities, user stories, and acceptance standards.

• Balance feature delivery with platform health by strategically prioritizing technical debt, resiliency, and scalability alongside new capabilities.

Engineering & Delivery Leadership

• In tandem with Development leadership, coach and develop the iWeb engineering and QA organization, establishing expectations for predictable delivery, high quality, and disciplined execution.

• Set direction and governance for the SDLC, including requirements intake, sprint planning, release management, quality gates, deployment standards, and delivery KPIs.

• Ensure platform stability, performance, and uptime across all supported payment rails, with Federal Reserve connectivity treated as non-negotiable infrastructure.

Operational, Security & Regulatory Alignment

• Partner with the COO and Licensees to ensure iWeb effectively supports and scales core banking operations, including exception handling and operational controls.

• Collaborate with the CTO/CISO on cybersecurity architecture, access management, vendor risk, and infrastructure decisions impacting the platform.

• Ensure platform decisions align with regulatory expectations and examination standards applicable to correspondent and community banking environments.

Licensee & Business Partnership

• Support acquisition, onboarding, and retention of iWeb licensees by translating platform capabilities into clear business value for bank executives.

• Serve as an escalation point and trusted strategic partner for licensee leadership.

• Champion enhancements that deepen adoption, differentiation, and long-term respondent bank relationships.
