The Inventory / purchasing Clerk is responsible for supporting the maintenance department by managing inventory, tracking parts and supplies, and assisting with administrative tasks. This role ensures that maintenance operations run smoothly by maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely availability of necessary materials.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday - Day Shift (full-time)
Compensation: Paid Weekly - hourly rate based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Organize and label storage areas for easy access and tracking.
- Own Maintenance Parts inventory in management system, creating new parts in system as needed, labeling, etc.
- Maintenance inventory monthly cycle counts
- Actively compare prices for frequently used or ordered parts, helping to secure better deals
- Reduce dependency on external parts sourcing
Maintenance Support
- Assist maintenance technicians by locating and issuing parts and tools.
- Track usage of materials and update logs accordingly.
- Schedule and document preventive maintenance activities.
- Help coordinate repairs and service calls with vendors.
- Follow up with team on WO status and updates
Administrative Duties
- Assist the accounting department with communicating with customers regarding outstanding invoices, supporting timely resolution of open items.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history files.
- Prepare reports on inventory usage, costs, and maintenance activities.
- Support purchasing by creating requisitions and tracking orders.
- Oversee Mobile equipment PMs and service calls
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries and returns.
- Review of all open POs for corrections and manual closing
- Provide reporting of open items to accounting and PO owners
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Experience in inventory control or maintenance support preferred.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to [insert weight] lbs.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in a maintenance shop and warehouse environment.
