General Description:
Tolin Mechanical, an established, well recognized and respected HVAC service contractor, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Western Colorado Branch. We are seeking a candidate who meets the qualifications listed below.
The Project Manager I will organize, manage, and plan small and medium projects for the organization, through development and project implementation efforts. Redeem unit gross profit objectives through subordinate organization, while meeting contractual commitments to customers in a timely, high-quality manner.
Responsibilities for Project Manager:
- Manages project executions and project redemption of assigned projects.
- Manages projects with executive level guidance from superiors.
- Provides project communication internally for the field, internally for the finance department, and externally for customers and subcontractors.
- Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
- Manages and controls equipment and material utilization, scheduling, and cost.
- Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
- Conducts risk assessments and reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
- Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
- Settles open disputes and claims with customers.
- Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
- Provides customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Maintains appropriate documentation and status reporting.
- Internal company relations and partnership.
- Develops and maintains positive internal company relations and partnerships.
- Develops and maintains positive external relationships with vendors and customers.
- Requisition, negotiate, and audit subcontracts.
- Identifies and addresses out of scope work requests, and creates RFIs and Chage Order Requests.
- Quotes and sells changes in the work.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits:
Average Starting Salary: $85,000-$105,000 annually. Combined experience, education, skills and knowledge will be taken into consideration.

- Experience and demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Business, Engineering, or Communications.
- At least three years of related project management experience.
- Experience in working with business stakeholders within cross-functional matrix environment.
- Microsoft Office experience or training.
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Over 18 years of age
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing
- Ability to travel to job sites across Western Colorado
