The Security Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising and executing WH Security’s installation and service operations to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to company standards. This role focuses on scheduling, resource allocation, and field coordination, while managing technician performance and maintaining consistent operational execution.
Location
This will be a full-time in-office position located at WH Headquarters in Rockford, MN. Rockford is located on Hwy. 55, 15 minutes west of I-494. This position will also travel to job sites around the greater Twin Cities metro area.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $65,000 - 85,000 plus annual bonus

What you'll do
30% Installation and Service
- Supervise installation and service to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Coordinate daily and weekly installation and service schedules.
- Assign technicians and resources to meet project timelines.
- Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to address delays and changes.
- Oversee product inventory and procedures, with the goal of ensuring low inventory discrepancies as well as optimal inventory levels.
- Maintain relationships and inspect the work quality of contractors.
- Stay abreast of industry standards, practices and code requirements.
- Coordinate and manage license requirements training for all field staff.
- Ensure after-hours trouble calls are attended to in a timely fashion.
- Maintain knowledge of all industry, technology, trends and changes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
30% Team Supervision
- Supervise, guide, and lead the WH Security inside and outside technicians.
- Set and communicate goals for technicians in support of WH’s mission, core principles, and annual goals and track progress. Conduct performance reviews and track goal completion.
- Provide employee feedback and evaluate performance via the performance appraisal process. Provide career development guidance.
- Coordinate technical employee training based on identified needs of technical and leadership skills.
- Perform on-site inspections and evaluations in conjunction with Lead Technician.
- Act as expert and mentor to technicians encouraging knowledge-transfer among employees.
- Promote a team focus, encourage knowledge-sharing, business improvements, cross-functional business processes, and continuous improvement efforts. Foster a positive work environment and administer WH’s policies.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, report and investigate accidents, maintain safety awareness, and promote all aspects of WH’s safety program.
- Manage and make recommendations on fleet vehicles.
- Manage tools and ensure all technicians are fully equipped to complete work.
- Provide high quality on-boarding experience for new employees
20% Customer and Internal Relations
- Coordinate with Business Development Manager to transition sold work into execution.
- Serve as the escalation point for operational issues.
- Achieve customer satisfaction of products and services, maintains efficient fulfillment, cultivates the internal team, and directs outsourced services.
- Continually improve customer experience, creates engaged customers and facilitate organic growth.
- Continually improves technician performance, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.
- Views the organization as a whole and works toward overall success.
- Ensure accuracy and prompt completion of all invoicing internal and external.
10% Quality and Standards
- Ensure jobs follow scope, schedule, and company standards.
- Coordinate with Lead Technician on installation quality and technical standards.
- Reinforce expectations around documentation, close-out, and safety.
10% Organizational Communication and Values
Through ongoing communication, stress WH’s core values and keep the division informed in a timely manner regarding all cooperative and department news, initiatives, updates, etc.
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of field operations leadership experience
- 5+ years of field operations experience
- 5+ years of low voltage, networking, and or electrical experience.
Licenses/Certificates
- Current PLT license, or ability to achieve PLT, and valid driver’s license required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Detailed knowledge of security system installation operations
- Skill and ability to use computers and related software for maintaining spreadsheets, word processing, reporting, presentations, and e-mail
