We are looking for an efficient Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to undertake and support various HR administrative duties. You will be exposed to a wide range of Human Resources processes through facilitating daily HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration. Duties and Responsibilities
As the HR Coordinator, you will process payroll for the entire company, which requires attention to detail. It’s a process that includes a lot of facets and affects every one of our people. You will manage the process by conducting timekeeping audits and entering and auditing hours, earnings, and deductions. It will also require you to process employee changes, new hires, and terminations.
You will be critical in supporting our growing talent pipeline and being creative in improving our sourcing tactics. You will support the recruitment process, including leading university relations efforts, meeting with faculty and students, and attending career fairs. It will give you a chance to engage with prospective student hires and interns for recruitment purposes. You will also assist with managing the JWI internship program, both in recruitment and assigning mentors, onboarding and orientation, and general administration of the program. Once a recruit is hired, you will support the HR Team in the onboarding process by being the point of contact, organizing first day details, and coordinating all new hire processes.
HR is responsible for the employee benefits program. As the HR Coordinator, you will administer all benefits packages, including education assistance, transit, and wellness programs. You will also speak directly with our employees to explain the benefits JWI offers and ensure they have the resources they need.
Above all of this, HR ensures that we are compliant with all federal and state employment regulations, including FLSA, ACA, payroll, and Affirmative Action Plan administration. You will help us ensure the integrity of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) by performing data audits and generating compliance reports.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
To join the JWI HR Team, we expect you to have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. It would also be beneficial for you to have 1-3 years of experience in a Payroll or Human Resources role, preferably within a professional service, project management, or construction management organization.

Previous experience with payroll is preferred; Paylocity is a plus. It would help if you had a fundamental understanding of all administrative computer programs. We’d also like you to have a general knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
