Residential Maintenance Technician

Arbors Management Inc. currently has an opening for a full-time Building Maintenance Technician located in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar area of Pittsburgh.  The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of an 81-unit, Senior & Disabled, independent living, high-rise building.   Skills needed will include; Plumbing, Electrical, Light HVAC (no certification needed) Carpentry and Custodial.

This is a full-time position that works daylight hours.  On-call time will be required to cover for any emergency repairs after hours and on weekends.  The on-call schedule rotates with other maintenance staff.

Responsibilities of the Building Maintenance Technician will include:

• Ensuring all work orders from residents are handled in a timely manner
• Plumbing repairs including; H2O tanks, toilets, sinks, drains, etc.
• Electrical repairs including; lights, switches, outlets, breakers and troubleshooting
• HVAC (No Certification needed) - replacing PTAC units, cleaning filters, thermostats, etc.
• Outside maintenance including; grass cutting, snow removal and keeping the grounds free of debris
• Custodial duties including keeping common areas clean, window cleaning (ground-level only) and trash removal (trash compactor)

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Electrical skills - Intermediate
• Plumbing skills - Intermediate
• HVAC skills - Beginner (Basic - no certification needed)
• A POSITIVE attitude and willingness to learn
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must have driver’s license / vehicle insurance  and personal vehicle
