Description

Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth and maintaining strong customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role manages outbound sales activity, supports outside sales partnerships, and executes strategic sales initiatives to maximize profitability. The position plays a key role in customer engagement, market intelligence gathering, and achieving territory sales objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  •   Develop and execute territory sales plans, budgets, and business strategies to achieve revenue and margin goals.
  •   Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers to promote programs, special offerings, and new product initiatives.
  •   Identify customer needs through consultative questioning to uncover growth opportunities.
  •   Provide accurate and timely pricing updates via phone and electronic communication.
  •   Collaborate closely with Outside Sales Representatives regarding orders, customer inquiries, specials, and issue resolution.
  •   Communicate market trends, competitive activity, and product demand insights to Sales Leadership and Product Managers.
  •   Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers to drive long-term partnerships.
  •   Develop targeted business plans for key products and strategic accounts.
  •   Follow up consistently on customer quotes, leads, and service requests.
  •   Optimize truck fill and order profitability based on customer commitments.
  •   Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on sales activity and performance.
  •   Contribute to the overall profitability and growth objectives of the organization.
  •   Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support IWP’s Vision, advance its Mission, and uphold the Organization’s Values.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  •   Two to four years of related sales or customer service experience.
  •   Experience in building materials or distribution environment is preferred.

  •   High school diploma or equivalent required.

Salary Description
$23-$24 Plus sales incentive pool D.O.E.
