Description

  

The Senior Human Resources Generalist holds principal accountabilities for employee relations, talent acquisition, payroll and benefits education, and local adherence to HR and Safety laws, policies, and procedures.

Successful candidates for this role will possess the following qualifications, experiences, and abilities: 

  • The ability to think critically and apply HR laws      and policies to situations occurring within the facility with a strong      adherence to legal and ethical management practices, with a strong focus      on educating employees and site leadership to guide adherence.
  • The ability to proactively communicate with site      leadership to understand and translate business goals into HR objectives      and partner with HR leadership to design and implement new approaches,      policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business      objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the location.
  • The desire and ability to be an influential and      credible HR leader within the team, provide the necessary support, and      follow up to ensure the team achieves desired results.
  • Solutions focused and comfortable working in an      environment that demands robust deliverables and the ability to use      investigative techniques to identify problems and drive appropriate      solutions while creating buy-in amongst the team.
  • Operates with autonomy and discretion with a truly      hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the      "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee      engagement and the ability to mediate the needs of the employees in      balance with the goals of the company.
  • Success in this role will require influential      partnerships with local management to execute the HR strategies that      foster organizational and people effectiveness.
Requirements

  

Qualified applicants will possess the following skillset:

  • Predisposition for action, stellar work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence for location.
  • 2 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.   
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.  Experience in HRIS systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Warehouse, Distribution, Manufacturing, or Transportation is preferred. 
  • Minimal travel may be required.
