Description
The IT Manager works to implement and maintain computing resources that equip staff and volunteers to fulfill the Pantano mission and vision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Pantano network environment across all campuses. Examples include hardware and software purchasing, procurement, assembly, installation, problem troubleshooting and resolution, inventory, and evaluation.
- Stay up to date with current technology trends and developments in order to provide Pantano with solutions that are responsible, timely, and effective.
- Work with ministry teams to perform needs assessments, evaluations, etc., and provide expertise and support as needed.
- Maintain current applications and infrastructure at their highest functional levels possible.
- Oversee the security cameras and other security tools that use the network systems.
- Provide guidance on the implementation of new hardware and software products with a focus on compatibility considerations with existing software and hardware.
- Provide ongoing leadership, management, implementation, and training in security and “best practices” measures for the use of technology
- Manage IT budget under the direction of the Executive Pastor of Operations.
- Provide hardware and software purchasing for Pantano and manage licensing.
- Assist with keeping IT-related written policies/procedures updated to govern the use of the Pantano computing environment.
- Provide training and guidance on adherence to established policies.
- Provide, maintain, and manage network security.
- Implement and manage proper backup controls for critical data.
- Maintain updates to approved software.
- Provide equipment repairs (computers, workgroup printers, peripherals).
- Manage server resources consistent with acceptable security practices.
- Provide an empowering infrastructure for staff without compromising security.
- Project management for any IT-related upgrades, maintenance, and implementations.
Other Duties
- Attend weekly 1:1, team and staff meetings
- Adhere to all church policies and procedures
- Work assigned duties during “All Hands On Deck” events such as Christmas and Easter services
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active Difference Maker at Pantano Christian Church
- Associate degree, current certification or equivalent experience in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Thorough knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with macOS
- Troubleshooting skills for common IT issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Office-related computer skills, including experience with common office software/programs and online applications
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Word and Excel/google suite
- Ability to effectively utilize online communication, email and calendar tools
- Ability to work productively without direct supervision
- Ability to work well and collaborate with team members, volunteers and other staff
- Possess project management skills
- Possess an outstanding service and support mentality
- Ability to provide basic training to end-users on IT systems and applications
Salary Description
$24 - $34 Per Hour
