Warehouse Manager
Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, storage, picking/packing, and shipping of materials and finished goods. This role ensures operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and on-time delivery performance while leading and developing warehouse staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 


The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to optimize warehouse processes, space utilization, and material flow to support production and customer commitments.

Requirements

 Warehouse Operations & Logistics

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Ensure  all inbound and outbound materials are processed accurately and on schedule to meet production and delivery requirements 
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-time performance
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counting, audits, and reconciliation processes 

Process Improvement & Material Flow

  • Design and optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and overall material flow from raw materials to finished goods
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve productivity, efficiency, and accuracy 
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, throughput, and on-time shipping
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff, including supervisors, leads, and associates
  • Plan staffing levels, schedules, and workforce allocation to meet operational demands
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards 
  • Conduct regular safety audits, training sessions, and incident investigations
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to align inventory and shipping priorities
  • Support production schedules by ensuring timely material availability
  • Communicate operational updates, risks, and improvements to leadership

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory tools to manage operations
  • Generate reports and analyze operational data to support decision-making
  • Drive adoption of automation and technology to improve warehouse performance 

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of business objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience with inventory control, logistics, and shipping/receiving operations
  • Proficiency with ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Knowledge of OSHA and warehouse safety standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electronics, power systems, or manufacturing environments (aligned with EPC Power)
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
  • APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or logistics-related certifications

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting in a warehouse setting
  • May involve operating or supervising use of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
