We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team and ensure the smooth operation of all hotel systems.


What You’ll Do:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
  • Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
  • Complete all work orders and tasks thoroughly, documenting work performed and ensuring issues are fully resolved.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts used, time spent, and follow-up needs.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and maintained in good condition.
  • Assist with seasonal projects, emergency repairs, and special assignments as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems, including boilers, chillers, elevators, and fire safety equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to minimize guest disruption during maintenance work.
  • Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA and hotel standards.
  • Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
  • Supervise and train engineering team members, ensuring adherence to hotel and brand standards.
  • Manage departmental budget and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Act as primary contact for emergency situations involving building systems.
Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–5 years of engineering or maintenance experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Leadership experience with ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Certifications such as EPA, CPO, or similar preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions.
