OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Quality Engineering Technician II who plays a key role in supporting quality assurance activities by conducting advanced inspections, analyzing quality data, and assisting in problem-solving efforts to drive continuous improvement. This mid-level role requires experience in quality control processes, proficiency with inspection tools, and the ability to support engineering teams in maintaining product and process quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct advanced inspections of components and assemblies using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs, optical comparators)
- Collect and analyze inspection data, generate reports, and make recommendations based on findings
- Support root cause investigations and assist in developing corrective and preventive action plans
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAPs, and capability studies in support of new and existing product launches
- Ensure adherence to ISO, customer, and internal quality standards and documentation requirements
- Assist in auditing internal processes and workstations for compliance with quality and process standards
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement improvements
- Train and mentor junior technicians in inspection procedures and documentation practices
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality engineering support in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of quality tools, inspection methods, and statistical process control (SPC)
- Proficient in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
- Experience with quality documentation, including FAI, PPAP, and NCRs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality software (e.g., Minitab, QMS systems)
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
