POSITION: Site Coordinator

HOURS: Part-time; School Year & Summer Calendar, Part Time 25-30hrs. a week (variable hour)

WAGE: $22-26 hr. (new employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning of the wage range)

SUPERVISOR: Area Director

Job Summary: Coordinates the overall daily operations of the site with the primary focus on program management, personnel management, and facility upkeep. Supervises all site employees and volunteers. Serves as main point of contact for parents/guardians of Club members. Responsible for the development and implementation of the Formula for Impact and programs within the Five Core Program areas (Character Development & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, The Arts, Health & Life Skills, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation). Must be cooperative, friendly and create a safe and harmonious environment. Abide by and support the Club mission, to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens.


KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

Program Management

  • Coordinates overall site programs for school year and potential other services.
  • Ensures the development, implementation and evaluation of annual program objectives.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of all programs for grant requirements, 5 core program areas, Formula for Impact, community service projects and field trips.
  • Ensures that monthly calendars, Club newsletters, quarterly bulletin boards, dashboard photos and flyers of school site events are completed, posted and available.
  • Responsible for the coordination, delegation and implementation of Site special events & projects (i.e. Youth Recognition Event, Parent Nights, etc.).
  • Develops and maintains relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents/guardians to manage behavior, disciplinary and health issues, and recognize members for good work.
  • Works with collaborative partnerships (other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families, funders and community organizations) to support Club program goals and strategic plans.
  • Supports BGCNV leadership team with events, marketing and site/organizational public relations (i.e. Newsletter, Facebook, E-blast content etc.);
  • Works with BGCNV leadership team incorporate community partners and establish strong collaborations.
  • Engages parents/guardians and families of youth members in Club programs and activities.
  • Works with Development Department for special events, community outreach, BGCNV publications etc.
  • Participate in community school meetings and work with school district personnel as requested.
  • Supports with overall transportation program and services.
  • Maintain all recreational property, equipment and facility supplies and inventory.
  • Conducts monthly safety evaluation of the facilities and equipment and makes recommendations for repairs, upgrades, etc.
  • Ensures that the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and attractive.
  • Fulfills all budget, finance and shopping functions in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Operates within approved budget and grant budgets.
  • Assures that all programs comply with Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley policies and procedures, insurance, and lawful requirements.

Personnel Management

  • Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, supervision, motivation, engagement, evaluations and dismissal of employees and volunteers.
  • Establishes annual performance and professional development goals for individual staff utilizing BGCNV professional development systems.
  • Manages the time and labor online system and employee time sheets.
  • Assures that all staff abide by policies and procedures & crisis management plans of the organization.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Abide by the Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley Policies & Procedures.
  • Attends Board and Committee Meetings as directed.
  • Attends trainings and workshops in the field as directed.
  • Attends staff meetings, school meetings and other Club sponsored events as directed.
  • Must provide quality customer service by meeting and greeting the public, parents, members and outside groups who enter the facility. Be prepared to provide guided tours and answer questions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Area Director and administration.
Requirements
  • Pass FBI and DOJ Live Scan and overall background check.
  • First Aid & CPR certified.
  • Pass TB test.
  • Must be approved as a driver by our Club auto insurance provider.
  • No Child Left Behind Act requirement (Proof of 48 completed college units, copy of college degree or County Assessment Certificate; we can assist in getting you the County Assessment certificate);
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience in managing grants a plus.
  • Minimum of two years experience with youth development, personnel management, collaborating with community organizations and public speaking preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Require the mobility to stand, stoop, reach and bend.
  • Require the mobility of arms to reach and dexterity of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects.
  • May require to ability to stand for long periods.
  • May require the ability to walk long distances.
  • Required to attend evening meetings and/or travel within and out of Butte County to attend meetings.
  • Required to work evenings and weekends.
