JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products. This role involves managing a team of warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring that all warehouse activities align with company standards and goals. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a key role in optimizing warehouse processes and improving operational efficiency.

Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of warehouse staff, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards.
  • Train and develop warehouse employees on proper procedures, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of shipments to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including production and logistics, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and inventory flow.
  • Handle any warehouse-related issues, such as equipment malfunctions, staffing shortages, and shipment delays, in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all warehouse equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
  • Prepare and maintain records of inventory levels, shipments, and receiving logs.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust.
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines for receiving, storing, and shipping products.
  • Frequent interaction with warehouse staff, other departments, and external carriers.
  • Compliance with OSHA and company safety standards required.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, or during peak periods as needed.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing/pulling while performing warehouse tasks.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions such as scanning, packing, or labeling.
  • Visual ability to inspect inventory, shipments, and equipment for accuracy and safety.
