The Mid Level IT Administrator Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting an organization’s computer domain servers and networks for corporate enterprise systems along with systems in a secure environment. This role ensures stable enterprise/network performance, assists with server/network upgrades, resolves connectivity issues, and provides technical support for server/network hardware, software, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Domain, LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
• Install, configure, and support server and network hardware (domain controllers, application servers, switches, routers, firewalls, access points)
• Support secure network environments, including role based access controls and RMF requirements
• Assist with system/network upgrades, patching cycles, and modernization efforts
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and hardware issues
• Perform routine administration/network maintenance, backups, and documentation
• Support VoIP systems, network cabling, and infrastructure components
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to support mission critical operations
• Maintain network asset documentation and change logs
• Ensure compliance with DoD security standards and cybersecurity best practices
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (required)
• CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
• 2–5 years of hands-on IT system administration and/or network support experience
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing, and switching
• Experience with networking hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ubiquiti, Meraki
• Familiarity with firewalls, ACLs, and secure network configuration
• Ability to interpret and maintain network diagrams and documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Additional certifications such as Network+ or CCNA are preferred
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud systems
