Headquartered in Durango, Colorado, with operations in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, and expanding into Tulsa, Oklahoma and Seattle, Washington, Agile has achieved more than 40% year-over-year growth for the past three years, and momentum continues to accelerate as funds are deployed from a recent Series A round.
Agile designs, builds, and tests in-space propulsion systems that give spacecraft the ability to maneuver with precision, reliability, and purpose. Our technologies play a critical role in missions that range from lunar landings and resource utilization to national defense, human exploration, and commercial space transport.

Position Summary
The President is responsible for supporting growth within a risk balanced program portfolio via leading the day-to-day operations of a multi-state, rapidly scaling, space industry hardware and services supplier. This role is accountable for translating the CEO’s strategic direction into operational excellence, ensuring the organization delivers with speed, discipline, quality, and financial rigor as it grows.
The CEO is responsible for corporate strategy, vision, fundraising, business development, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and overall financial leadership. The President partners closely with the CEO, COO, CTO, CCO and CFO to ensure strong sales and marketing, operating performance, effective execution, and organizational alignment. This role is ideally suited for an experienced operational executive who has led a company beyond Series A and, ideally, through an initial public offering and/or acquisition.
Leadership and Culture
- Foster an empowered, accountable culture of execution pride, customer service excellence, execution, and both internal and external transparency.
- Lead from the front as a hands-on mentor who actively engages in solving specific operational, technical, and organizational issues.
- Hold individuals and teams accountable for performance while promoting collaboration, learning, and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Encourage candor, including open acknowledgment of mistakes and proactive identification of improvement opportunities.
- Build and develop a high-performing execution team capable of scaling with the business.
Core Responsibilities
The successful candidate for the President role will forge strong collaborative partnerships with the COO and CCO for items 1-5 and the CEO for item 6 below.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Champion a culture of quality, reliability, and accountability across the organization.
- Establish, track, and continuously improve key performance indicators across the business, including schedule adherence, yield, defect rates, customer satisfaction, and other critical operating metrics.
- Build a data-driven operating rhythm that promotes transparency, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
Commercial and Program Execution
- Oversee sales and marketing execution to exploit opportunities, support growth objectives and customer commitments.
- Ensure strong program management discipline across all contracts, with consistent focus on schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with the CEO and CCO on strategic customer relationships and critical commercial opportunities as needed.
Operational Leadership
- Architect, implement and evolve the operational organizational structure and processes required to support the complexity and speed of Agile’s ambitious growth plans.
- Lead all internal day-to-day operations, including engineering, manufacturing, test, quality, program management, sales, and marketing.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment and execution against company priorities and operating plans.
Engineering, Manufacturing, and Delivery
- Oversee the full product lifecycle from development through production, integration, test, and delivery.
- Drive excellence in manufacturing and test execution, with a strong focus on on-time delivery, technical performance, and cost discipline.
- Ensure operational readiness to support higher production volume, increased program complexity, and future growth.
- Partner with the CEO, CTO and CCO on technology and product road mapping.
Financial and Operating Performance
- Partner with the CEO and broader executive team to develop annual operating plans and budgets.
- Own execution against financial and operating targets, including revenue achievement, margin performance, cost control, and forecast accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial performance at both the project and company levels.
- Ensure lessons learned from actual program execution are incorporated into future proposals, pricing, planning, and delivery models.
- Create strong accountability for beating budget where possible and improving predictability and performance over time.
Board and Executive Support
- Support the CEO and CFO in board meetings through preparation, reporting, and presentation of operational and financial performance.
- Provide clear, concise insight into business performance, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Serve as a trusted executive partner in evaluating priorities, tradeoffs, and operating decisions.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in operational leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success leading a company scaleup of a high-growth manufacturing organization.
- Proven experience in engineering, manufacturing, program management, and operational leadership in complex, high-reliability environments.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, margin management, and revenue delivery.
- Experience supporting the CEO and CFO in board meetings and executive-level reporting.
- Track record of building accountable, collaborative, high-performance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the space industry preferred.
- Experience in aerospace and defense or other high-reliability manufacturing sectors may also be considered.
- Background in post Series A stage venture-backed, private equity-backed, or publicly traded companies.
- Familiarity with US and international aerospace and defense quality, regulatory, and operating frameworks.

Employment Type: Full-Time/Exempt
Relocation Stipend: Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates to help make the transition as seamless as possible. Our team will work with you throughout the hiring process to discuss available relocation benefits and support.
Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000 Total compensation will include base salary, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives, which may include company ownership. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, performance, business needs, and other relevant factors and metrics.
Location & Travel Requirements
The ideal candidate would be permanently located in Denver, CO ahead of either Durango (CO), Tulsa (OK) or Seattle (WA). Hybrid arrangements are less preferred but will be considered for exceptional individuals. Given the multi-state organization, wherever located, the successful candidate will have the ability and willingness for extensive travel.?
