Position Summary
The Director of Hospitality is a key member of the community leadership team and is responsible for leading the overall hospitality experience at The Variel. This position provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the Front Desk, Concierge, Valet, and Security teams, ensuring every resident, family member, guest, and visitor receives an exceptional level of service.
The Director sets the standard for hospitality throughout the community by developing strong teams, establishing consistent service practices, and creating a culture centered on professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care. This leader is highly visible and engaged in daily operations, proactively identifies opportunities to improve the resident experience, and ensures concerns are addressed with urgency and follow-through.
The ideal candidate is a confident, relationship-driven leader who leads by example, inspires others, and brings a high level of professionalism, accountability, and service excellence to everything they do.
What you'll Do
- Oversee daily operations of the Front Desk, Concierge, Valet, and Security teams.
- Establish and maintain high standards of hospitality and service.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members while promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, guests, and team members.
- Respond to resident and family concerns and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor service quality and identify opportunities to improve the resident experience.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, budgets, and department operations.
- Partner with Executive Leadership and department directors on community initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the community and lead by example.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in hospitality, guest services, resident services, hotel operations, luxury residential communities, country clubs, resorts, senior living, or related service industries
- Proven success leading customer-facing teams
- Experience resolving escalated customer, guest, or resident concerns
- Strong operational and team leadership skills
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
