Weavers Way Co-op is looking for an energetic, experienced Meat Cutter Apprentice to work in our Meat & Seafood Department in our Mt. Airy store.

This position requires a focus on customer service as a top priority. Making it right is what counts. Responsibilities include packing, wrapping, stocking the meat cases, and cleaning. Knife skills are also required as you will be cutting meat for packaging. Must be able to take direction from the supervisor, and have the attitude of going above and beyond in every task.

Founded in 1973, Weavers Way is a community-owned natural grocer with stores in Mt. Airy, Chestnut Hill, and Ambler. In addition to our stores, we run a market farm in the Awbury Arboretum, a CSA farm partnership with Saul High School, our own community newspaper, and a non-profit which emphasizes food and nutrition education. We operate based on a triple bottom line philosophy that considers our community and environment in all of our decisions.

• Experience with seafood strongly preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Knowledge of different types of meat and cuts is a huge plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• The candidate must have a flexible schedule, this position requires weekends.
