Requirements


Princeton Orthopaedic Associates is seeking a dedicated, organized, and professional full-time Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer support and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and proficiency with various office software. This role involves scheduling, data entry, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. 


  Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Monitor the reception area to minimize wait times and maintain a clean, welcoming environment
  • Efficiently manage patient registration, intake forms, and check-out processes
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments accurately
  • Verify insurance information, prep patient charts to confirm coverage, and obtain necessary referrals prior to appointments
  • Collect patient co-pays and patient balances
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Protect patient rights by ensuring strict confidentiality of personal and financial information
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across different teams and healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient flow and care
  • Handle incoming emails and inquiries with professionalism.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized front desk area 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in managing files and records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, family, and medical staff
  • Proven ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • A dedicated team player committed to providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall patient experience 
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays, and travel to different offices locations as needed  

Experience / Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience in a front desk or administrative role within a medical office setting is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical privacy practices is preferred
Compensation & Benefits:


OrthoNJ, LLC is required by New Jersey law to disclose the compensation range for this position. The hiring range for this role is $16.00-$24.00 per hour. Compensation is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and geographic location. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive pay, as well as benefits.
