The pay range for this position is $210,000 to $260,000 / year. Payrate is determined by considering a person's prior experience and competence.


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

Summary

The Senior Director, Trade Relations position serves as the primary contact between Meitheal Pharmaceuticals and national wholesaler distribution partnerships. The Senior Director, Trade Relations is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic customer relationships with wholesaler distribution partners.  This individual will manage all activities related to the channel distribution as well as work with Pricing, Contract Marketing, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal and Finance to assist in management of wholesaler distribution agreements.


Essential Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provides insight on channel trends and monitor distribution service to ensure optimal performance.
  • Produces accurate, timely and effective business review meetings and resolves customer service-related issues.
  • Establishes multi-level relationships with national customer base and through quarterly business reviews with key customers.
  • Supports day-to-day activities with wholesaler distribution partners to ensure effective and efficient distribution to the end-user customer.
  • Presents recommendations on business opportunities to drive growth within assigned customers base (wholesaler source programs).
  • Works cross functionally where needed and with Pricing, Contract Marketing & Marketing prior to making an offer and post award on promoted products.
  • Drives strategic initiatives to improve Meitheal’s competitive position within distribution channels.
  • Ensures strategies for Meitheal products are implemented to achieve budget and company goals.
  • Gathers pertinent information to successfully launch new products.
  • Participates in the development of sales strategies by product and customer.
  • Promotes the Meitheal culture through positive interpersonal activities.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in establishing wholesaler distribution partnerships or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education and/or Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with trade and channel distribution-related experience.


Travel Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to travel 50% of the time and have high energy levels.  Requires regular travel to Corporate Office.


Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.


Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
