Position Summary
The Donor Relations Coordinator is a key member of the Benedictine College Office of Advancement, entrusted to ensure that every gift is used as the donor intends for the betterment of the college community. The position is responsible for ensuring that donors receive heartfelt, personalized, meaningful acknowledgment of their gifts, helping to build and maintain fulfilling relationships between the college and its supporters. Focuses specifically on acknowledging gifts, reporting impact, and stewarding relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic plan for appropriate stewardship of Benedictine College donors, acknowledging and celebrating gifts up to a determined level, improving upon best practices of top-tier peer institutions.
  • Promptly acknowledge gifts and provide appropriate recognition, including, but not limited to, written communication, impact reports and news updates.
  • Identify new, reactivated and multi-year donors and communicate all pertinent information with members of the Advancement team.
  • Assist in development and refinement of donor recognition programs, including, but not limited to, giving societies and affinity groups.
  • Assist with collecting impactful donor and student stories to build upon the rich tradition of college generosity.
  • Aid in the execution of Advancement Office events and programs, including phonathon, days of giving, homecoming, Scholarship Ball and more.
  • Potentially manage students and processes of expanded year-round phonathon.
  • Potentially assist in writing, editing and production of Spirit of Giving Magazine.

Education
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required.


Experience

  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment where teamwork is valued and each team member contributes to and celebrates everyone's success 
  • Significant work in a non-profit setting, preferably in advancement, alumni relations, marketing, communications or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in modern office software systems. Experience with database platforms is a plus.
