Description

Responsible for administrative tasks and client contact through all phases of assigned cases. Utilize the case management software system for case activity and documentation. Scan and prepare documents and correspondence.  Timely communication and support to attorneys and management. Provide world-class customer service following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and guidelines. Assist with phone coverage as needed. Demonstrates the core values of the firm; be a champion for others, be innovative, and be accountable.   


Accountabilities

  • Interact with clients in person, by phone, or electronically to review and document the status of injuries and medical treatment. Provide case status updates throughout the life of the case.
  • Complete file opening steps per SOP.
  • Utilize the case management system for timely data entry, task management, document management, and case status      communication. Update and maintain all case information and activities.
  • Gather all investigative documentation (police reports, photographs, medical records, billing statements, etc.).
  • Interact with insurance companies and adjusters to gather information as needed.
  • Aid client in initial property damage resolution. 
  • Request and review medical records and bills.
  • Communicate with attorney on changes related to injuries and/or medical treatment. 
  • Identify, monitor, and document all liens. 
  • Conduct file reviews per SOP timelines.
  • Process daily scans, mail, and correspondence per SOP
  • Timely communication and response to clients, providers, insurance carriers, attorneys, and management. 
  • Obtain all final reports, medical documentation, and other appropriate supporting data to complete a demand per production goals.
  • Prepare demand letters and packages.
  • Prepare settlement statements.
  • Adhere to the non-negotiable client contact procedures to provide world-class service in response to a client’s questions and concerns.
  • Utilize ‘Secret Service’ techniques to develop a connection and build a relationship with clients. Seek ways to deliver “Above and Beyond” client experiences.
  • Perform other case management tasks at the direction of the Attorney and/or supervisor. 
Requirements
  • College degree in legal studies, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven knowledge and ability to provide paralegal support through all stages of a personal injury case.
  • Excel in listening and communicating with clients to answer questions, provide empathy, and support. 
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excels in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Math aptitude to review medical bills and complete settlement statements.
  • Strong organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and apply new information.
  • Proactive with ability to be productive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Flexibility to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team contributor.
  • Medical and/or legal terminology knowledge.
  • Proficient typing skills to navigate various software programs, phone system, internet, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Notary Public a plus.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $33.00 based on experience.
