We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Aspen Gallery Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Aspen gallery. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys balancing operational management with hands-on art handling, logistics, facilities coordination, and team leadership while ensuring an exceptional client experience.

What You'll Do
As the Gallery Operations Supervisor, you will:
- Lead the daily operations of the Aspen gallery.
- Supervise art handling, shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and installations.
- Ensure artwork is packed, transported, installed, and stored using museum-quality standards.
- Coordinate logistics with our New Orleans Operations and Shipping & Inventory teams.
- Oversee gallery readiness, facilities coordination, maintenance, and operational safety.
- Supervise and develop gallery operations staff through coaching, training, and accountability.
- Support gallery events, VIP appointments, and special client installations.
- Maintain accurate inventory and operational records across multiple systems.
- Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments while delivering exceptional service.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience.
- Experience handling fine art, antiques, or other high-value objects preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating logistics, shipping, inventory, or operations.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using power tools and material handling equipment.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
What to Expect
This is an active, hands-on leadership role. You'll work in gallery spaces, client homes, outdoor environments, and occasionally at trade shows. Qualified candidates must be able to:
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and move artwork and materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance or mechanical equipment.
- Stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Safely operate company vehicles and art handling equipment.
- Work in varying weather conditions while loading, unloading, transporting, or installing artwork.
Compensation, Work Schedule & Travel
- This is an hourly, full-time position with a compensation range of $38 to $48 per hour commensurate with experience, with eligibility to earn bonuses.
- The Aspen gallery operates year-round. During peak summer and winter seasons, the gallery is open seven days per week. This position works a rotating five-day schedule throughout the year, including regular weekend and holiday coverage based on business needs.
- Occasional early morning or evening hours, local travel, and overnight out-of-town travel may be required for client installations, trade shows, or operational needs.
